Watch videoWeGrowOrganic was founded in 2001 by third-generation farmers Thijs Geerse and Wouter Snippe. Covering approximately 400 hectares, they grow a wide range of organic products that absorb extremely high levels of nutrients from the rich polder soil where they are cultivated.
In 2018, WeGrowOrganic joined forces with OTC Organics to expand markets, create synergies and gain a stronger financial position for investments. In 2021, a joint investment enabled the construction of a new cold storage facility. The new facility includes a sorting system, packaging machines, and laser printing capabilities. It offers storage space for 3,200 tons of potatoes, 3,500 tons of onions, 600 tons of pumpkins, 2,500 tons of carrots, and 1,500 tons of beetroot.
Thijs and Wouter transport their products to the consumer as carefully and as quickly as possible and keep the ‘field to fork’ chain as short as possible. They sort, process, pack and sell their products directly from their own farm through a wide European network of buyers. They also handle organic products for fellow growers. In fact, 40 producers market 100% of their production through WeGrowOrganic.
